Accelerated Capital Allowance Scheme

CEA is delighted to announce that Catering Equipment is to be included in the Accelerated Capital Allowance scheme for 2010. This was announced by Minister Lenihan in the Budget this evening where he said:

"In addition, the scheme of accelerated capital allowances for energy efficient equipment is being enhanced to include refrigeration and cooling systems, electro-mechanical systems and catering and hospitality equipment. This measure will improve energy efficiency while also helping companies under strong competitive pressure in sectors such as food and drink, retailing and distribution."

This is a direct result of the CEA submission to the Department of Energy and our subsequent discussions with both that Department and the Department of Finance.
