Draft Waste Management (Batteries and Accumulators) Regulations 2008

The CEA have asked the DoEHLG to:

• Remove the obligation on organisers of trade shows to ensure their exhibitors are compliant with the Regulations;
• CEA have called for no further financial or administrative burdens on members in relation to the registration process;
• CEA seek clarity in relation to the provision of B2B compliance schemes for the Regulations, to ensure the schemes are in operation prior to the Legislation coming into effect.
