About Us

The Catering Equipment Association was founded in 1965. It was initially known as the Catering Equipment Manufacturers and Suppliers Association, a title which it held until it was incorporated in 1982 as CEA Ltd., and thereafter became known by its present title of the Catering Equipment Association.

Our Association has a vibrant membership of manufacturers, suppliers and distributors forming an amalgam of companies involved in all aspects of the Catering and Hospitality Industry in Ireland and covering a very broad and varied spectrum of products and services.

The CEA is a full member of EFCEM the European Federation of Catering Equipment. Our membership of EFCEM affords input into legislation which governs our industry as well as keeping us fully informed of obligations under EU law.

We are affiliated to Food and Drink Industry Ireland (FDII) within the Irish Business and Employers Confederation (IBEC).
